Choose any four packets from the Missouri Native Series and pay $16 instead of $18. It’s the easy way to start a collection, plan a small bed, or fill in the numbers you’re missing.

Every packet is designed like a vintage postage stamp, numbered 1 to 12, with a postmark on the front that tells you when to sow. All twelve species are native to Missouri, and each one is hand-filled in St. Charles County.

How to use

  1. Choose your four from the menus on this page.
  2. Check the postmarks when they arrive. Most say SOW DEC–FEB; Wild Bergamot (No. 7) says SOW MAR–MAY and Missouri Evening Primrose (No. 11) says SOW SEP–NOV.
  3. Sow each one in its season, following the directions on the back of the packet. Our winter sowing guide covers most of the series.
  4. Keep your packets cool and dry until sowing time.

Questions

Which four should I pick?

Start with your ground. For sunny, dry spots, try Nos. 2, 4, 8 and 11. For heavy clay or damp soil, try Nos. 1, 5, 10 and 12. Our guide to choosing by sun and soil lays out all twelve.

Can I add a gift note?

Pick Any 4 doesn’t have a gift-note box, but the Winter-Sow Kit, the Monarch Milkweed Trio, the Complete Series and the Seed Club all do.

Do I save anything?

Yes: four packets bought singly cost $18, so Pick Any 4 saves you $2. Add a few more packets to reach $25 and shipping is free.
